A prayer for those who feel alone or deserted

Dear God

I cry out to you
Have mercy on me
Please help me
Please don’t turn your back on me
I feel so desperately alone
I feel no one understands
My pain, my loneliness and my isolation
You know what I am going through
You understand me
You know me
Please support, comfort and hug me
Please be my friend and companion
Throughout this life
