The little boy who gave Jesus his all

Five loaves and two fishes.
(This story is found in the Good News Bible Matthew Chapter 14 Verses 13-21.)

A large crowd had followed Jesus. The disciples came to Jesus and said, “Master, these people are hungry and we cannot send them away like this. They will faint on their way home.” Jesus said to his disciples, “You give them something to eat.”

“Master, we do not have enough food to feed all these people. There is a boy here who has five loaves and two fishes but that cannot feed all these people,” replied the disciples.

The boy came forward with the five loaves and two fishes. Jesus took them, looked up to heaven and gave thanks to God. When the five loaves and the two fishes were distributed to the people. They multiplied over and over again until every single person was fed with food left over.

We must come to Jesus as the little boy did. He gave Jesus his all. We have to learn to give Jesus our all. Jesus was able to bless what the boy had given to him and it multiplied many times over and fed five thousand people. You may say I am one person and I cannot make a difference to the world that I live in but the little boy did make a difference by giving Jesus what he had. We must come to Jesus and give him all we have.

Dear Jesus,
Teach me to bring you my all,
Just like the little boy did.
Please multiply what I bring to you
So that others can benefit.
I ask this in Jesus name.
